President’s Friday Message

Good Morning Assumption Catholic Schools,

We have been back for 2 weeks since Christmas break and in person learning is going well. I cannot say it enough how thankful I am for the staff and all their efforts to work with students in person and remotely.

Catholic Schools Week is coming up begining on Sunday January 31st. This year’s celebration will be school based with no all ACS gatherings. On the Tuesday of Catholic Schools Week Bishop Callahan will be live streaming a Mass at 9 AM. I will send a link to the live stream and the recording as soon as they are available.

Registration and WPCP (Choice) enrollment begins on February 1st. Choice enrollment must be completed by April 15th. I encourage you to complete the school reenrollment as soon as possible. Some of our decisions on programs and staffing for next year depend on student numbers and the sooner you reenroll the more accurate our financial numbers are. Details will be sent home and available on the website soon.

Our virtue theme this week is that of PERSPECTIVE – The strength to have a true understanding of the relative importance of things. Many times we can forget the importance of the process, the journey, the time together in whatever we are doing as a group or team. The bond of a true team where each person truly loves one another, cares for one another and is willing to sacrifice, sweat and work tirelessly for one another. Those moments are what help us gain the PERSPECTIVE of what is truly important in life.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for giving us the opportunity to live this day. Help us to do it for Your glory and honor. May we gain more PERSPECTIVE today so we put things in their proper order

In Christ’s Peace
Daniel Minter
President
