President’s Friday Virtue Message January 13, 2022

Greetings Assumption Catholic Schools

The Christmas season came to a close this past weekend, although on the traditional liturgical calendar the season extends to Candlemas on Feb. 2nd.  Officially, we are back to Ordinary Time until Ash Wednesday.

Fun Fact – St. Peter’s Basilica is not the Pope’s cathedral – the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran is the Pope’s cathedral – the church where his chair is.  It was donated to the Catholic church in the 4th century by the emperor Constantine.

The virtue of the week is circumspection. The strength to carefully stop and consider all alternatives and their consequences.  This builds up the virtue of prudence.  More details can be found here. Circumspection 2022-2023 MINI PDF

May God continue to bless each of us and may the Holy Spirit guide Assumption Catholic Schools to Jesus and God and assist us in educating the students in the truth, beauty and goodness of God’s creation.

In Christ’s Peace
