Virtue-Strength August 30

The virtue of the week is faith – given to us by God at our baptism, Faith enables us to beleive in God and the Catholic Church.

“I BELIEVE though I do not comprehend, and I hold by FAITH what I cannot grasp with the mind.”
– St. Bernard

The weakness is unbelief

The weakness by which we reject the truths which God has revealed.
It is not believing in God or His teachings, lacking trust in His plan.
“He who does not believe is like a man who has no light and walks in darkness.”
-St. Alphonsus Liguori

“I will go peacefully and firmly to the CATHOLIC CHURCH.
For if FAITH is so important to our salvation, I will seek it where true
FAITH first began. I will seek it among those who received it from God Himself.”
– St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
