Virtue=Strength Love of God
The November virtues and strengths will revolve around the theme of Love of God.
The virtue of Love for God, or Charity, is a gift from God, placed or infused in our souls at Baptism, that gives us the strength to love the Lord Our God as the
sovereign good, and purely for His own sake.

THE GOLDEN ARROW PRAYER
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored
and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the
Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.
The Golden Arrow is an important prayer that Jesus gave to Sister Mary of St. Peter, a Carmelite nun in France, in August of 1843. Sister Mary
called it “an Act of Praise that our Lord Himself dictated to me, notwithstanding my unworthiness, for the reparation of Blasphemy against His Holy Name
WHAT IS LOVE FOR GOD?
Loving God means showing Him we care through our thoughts, words, and actions. It means praying to Him, obeying His commandments, and being kind to others.
Catechism of the Catholic Church
• CCC 1822: “Charity is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God.”
Saint Quote:
•St. John Bosco: “Without confidence and love, there can be no true education.”
God created us to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in HEAVEN in the next.
The virtue of LOVE FOR GOD is a necessary strength which will help us achieve that goal.
The vice is INDIFFERENCE The weakness to have no interest in God, His Church or the salvation of your soul.
Indifference means not caring. When we are indifferent, we don’t pay attention to others’ feelings or needs, and we might ignore God’s presence in our lives.
Catechism of the Catholic Church
•CCC 2094: “One can sin against God’s love in various ways: …indifference neglects or refuses to reflect on divine charity; it fails to consider its prevenient goodness and denies its power.”
