The strength for the week is UNDERSTANDING.
This week our strength building on the virtue of PRUDENCE is UNDERSTANDING.
The strength to know what is the right thing to do in each situation.
If you don’t know what the right thing to do is,
you should:
Ask for help or advice
Listen attentively
Reflect and decide
Get it done!
"Understanding is a gift of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to grasp the truths of faith." – Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1831
The gift of understanding helps us think deeply about God's truth and make good choices, rather than acting without thinking.
"Understanding is the reward of faith. Therefore seek not to understand that you may believe, but believe that you
may understand." – St. Augustine
When we trust God and take time to understand His ways, He will help us see the truth.
THE WEAKNESS OF IMPULSIVITY
Impulsivity is the opposite of understanding. It means acting without thinking, often too quickly, and sometimes hurting
others or yourself. “Reacting without reflecting”
