Jan Baker

Business, Technology, and Family and Consumer Economics (FACE)

Mrs. Baker joined Assumption Catholic Schools in 2004. Mrs. Baker has taught both the middle and high school choirs, theory and composition, directed musicals, as well as introduction to business and personal finance. Before starting at Assumption, Jan worked in the financial field alongside her father and sister at Bancroft State Bank that her grandfather helped establish in 1912. She currently teaches: accounting, personal finance, introduction to business, business communication, all the technology classes and FACE (Family and Consumer Education). Mrs. Baker is working on incorporating a DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) program as well. Mrs. Baker is focusing on having the students have a better understanding of the business world and a strong emphasis on communication. She enjoys spending time with her family consisting of her amazing husband Chuck, and their five children: Derek, Haley, Nathanial, Jenna, and Natalie. You would most likely find Jan spoiling her family and helping others first, reading her daily devotions and prayer time, volunteering, going on walks with their dog, playing with their two cats, gardening, fishing, and boating.
