How Do I Qualify?

For the 2026-2027 school year, the family income of a student new to a choice program must be at or below the amount listed in the table below for the program the student is applying. If a student is continuing in any of the choice programs or was on the choice waiting list for the same Choice program in the prior year, he or she does not need to meet the income limits. Family income includes the income of the student’s parent(s)/legal guardian(s) that reside in the same household as the student applicant. If the student’s parents/legal guardians that reside in the same household are married, their income is reduced by $7,000 when determining income eligibility for the program (i.e. married family income minus $7,000 is the income amount married families compare to the tables below). Family size includes parents/legal guardians and their children by birth, marriage or adoption that reside in the same household as the student applicant.

  • New and returning students applying to grades K4, K5, 1 or 9 or
  • New students if you meet one of the following requirements for the 2025-2026 school year:
    • attended a public school in Wisconsin
    • attended school in another state
    • were not enrolled in school (including homeschool for the entire 2025-26 school year)
    • participated in the MPCP, RPCP, or WPCP

Families with incomes below 220% of the federal poverty level are eligible to apply for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.

*Family Size Maximum Yearly Income

State law (Act 55) specifies that annually every public school, including charter schools, and each private school participating in a Choice program is to provide parents with a copy of the report card and their educational options. In order to meet this requirement, schools may post their School Report Card to their own website.

Schools and districts are also required to provide the list of educational options. Below you will find links to the DPI School Report Card website and a link to educational options.

Each Fall the Wisconsin Department of Public Instructions issues report cards for all WPCP schools in the state.  These report cards as based on the results of the WPCP students performance on the WI Forward Exam.  In many cases the pool of test scores is too small to generate a usable report.  We recommend you also view our ITBS and other test scores to get a better picture of the performance of students at Assumption Catholic Schools.
