Good Morning Assumption Catholic Schools
Our journey into Lent has begun. Both Sacred Heart and St. Lawrence are offering take out fish frys for Lent. Sacred Heart is serving from 3-6 PM and St. Lawrence from 4 – 7 PM. Please consider supporting these or other parish based activities this Lenten season.
Our winter sports season is winding down. The girl’s BB team played on Thursday and as I am writing this early, I do not know the results. The boy’s lost to Port Edwards in a close contest. Spring sports will begin later in March or April due to schedule changes by the WIAA. The athletic program is selling the cash drawing tickets, contact Joe Birkhauser if you have not purchased one yet. All money raised by the athletic association goes to directly support our sports programs.
Lent is a time of fasting, prayer and abstinence. I hope you can make time to be with Jesus on His journey.
