President’s Message Sept. 17 2021
Dear Assumption Catholic Schools,
Another week draws to a close. I want to thank everyone involved in our Catholic education mission. Without your efforts, we could not do what we do.
I ask that God continue to bless you with health and happiness and that for all those suffering from illness, natural disaster or man made troubles that God be a strength of hope and promise.
Our virtue this week is Fidelity
Thank you, Lord, for this day, this opportunity,
this time together.
Strengthen our wills and forge our resolve to be
FAITHFUL in our pursuit of excellence in every area of
This week our strength building on the virtue of Faith
The strength to be steadfast in one’s commitments
Another word for FIDELITY is Faithfulness.
Being FAITHFUL is a wonderful strength.
It enables us to be true to what matters most in life
even when we may not feel like it.
Matthew 25: 19-21
“After a long time the master of those servants
came back and settled accounts with them.
The one who had received five talents came
forward bringing the additional five.
He said, ‘Master, you gave me five talents.
See, I have made five more.’
His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and
faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small
matters, I will give you great responsibilities.
Come, share your master’s joy”
“My greatest happiness is to be before the
Blessed Sacrament, where my heart is, as it were,
in Its center.”
– St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
“Moral principles do not depend on
a majority vote.
Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is wrong.
Right is right, even if nobody is right.”
– Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
The opposing vice
THE WEAKNESS TO NOT BE FAITHFUL TO ONE’S COMMITMENTS AND PROMISES.
EXAMPLES OF INFIDELITY
Not keeping your word.
Not following team/school/group rules.
Failing to admit or own up to mistakes.
Lord God, You didn’t run at the first sign of chaos or
You showed us how to be FAITHFUL, sacrificial, loving
We want to live like You!
We want to live for You and for others.
Help us to be FAITHFUL to You no matter the sacrifice
Have a great weekend
In Christ’s Peace,
Assumption Catholic Schools
