President’s Virtue Message November 17

The Church year is coming to a close.  In less than 2 weeks Advent will begin.   Let is celebrate that Jesus is the King – our Lord and Redeemer. This is a fitting way to end the liturgical year and show the triumph that our Triune God provides.  All hail the King of Kings – the Lord of Lords!

The strength this week is SACRIFICE – forgoing one’s own benefit for the good of others.  The greatest sacrifice is that of Jesus – He died to redeem mankind.  Can we not sacrifice something for others?

Lord, You SACRIFICED everything dying for us on the Cross. You suffered all of that for our good because You love us. May we learn how to SACRIFICE for those around us, especially our family members, classmates, and teammates. Help us to develop the habit of looking for ways to do good for others.

the opposing weakness is seld-indulgence – making everything about you.
