Dear Assumption Catholic Schools,

A special prayer to our March for Life students and staff who have journeyed to Washington DC to provide witness to the culture of life and the protection of the unborn.  May they travel safely and may their experience be fruitful

This week our strength building on the virtue of PRUDENCE is FORESIGHT
The strength to think ahead and consider what if or what might happen.

Thinking about what might happen is important when making any decision.  No matter how large or small what you decide to do can effect yourself and others in a myriad of ways.

We’re well-intentioned but we’re also weak, sinful creatures and we easily give into temptation.
Don’t test the limits of your moral strength. If something is going to lead you into sin, avoid it.

“Our labor here is brief, but the reward is eternal. Do not be disturbed by the clamor of the
world, which passes like a shadow. Do not let false delights of a deceptive world deceive you.”
– St. Clare of Assisi

The weakness is unpreparedness. Not being ready.  Jesus had several parables in the Bible about this – One is the 10 virgins who were waiting for the bridegroom, 5 had to go search for oil and got locked out of the banquet. The prepared ones were admitted. Matthew 25: 1-13
