President’s Friday Blog

As we end spring break and resume eLearning on Monday, I pray that each of you have time to spend in prayer and reflection. A month ago none of us would have anticipated the widespread effects of this virus and how it is impacting our lives in the short and long term. None of us wanted to close the schools but were ordered to do that by the State. We know it is not easy for students, parents or teachers to navigate this unknown territory we call eLearning. Thank you to all you do.

Friday 7 PM Guided Stations of the Cross. Free Registration here.

For this weekend there are several options for online Masses and so far as I know for a live Mass

Saints Peter and Paul started offering parking lot Mass for both Saturday 4:30 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM – simply park facing the church and tune your radio to 103.9 to hear the Mass as celebrated by Father Schaller.

Sacred Heart is live streaming the 10:30 Mass on their Facebook page

Father Becker will live stream on Facebook Saturday at 4 PM – readings and reflection will be posted later today.

St. Vincent de Paul is offering a recorded Mass and the link will be posted to our Facebook page and the parish website.

The Diocese is live streaming in English at 9:30 and in Spanish at 10:30 – go to the Diocesan Website to watch

There is also a televised Mass on WJFW channel 12 at 6:30 AM on Sunday

Details will be coming out next week from each building about plans for instruction beyond April 5 and how and when additional materials will be available.
