President’s Friday Virtue Message

Greetings Assumption Catholic Schools,

As we prepare for the return of the students next week, let us take time to enjoy our friends and family and rejoice in the many blessings that God has provided for us.  We ask continued prayers for the students, families, staff and supporters of Assumption Catholic Schools.

Father Weller said it very well at the all staff Mass on August 22nd – We are different.  We are not just a school with a religious program but we are a place where everyone learns and grows in our faith.  Our mission is to serve the mind, body and spirit of our students and by extension their families and the staff.

The strength of the week is dedication.  Dedication-August-2023-Mini-PDF

“Pray as through everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.” – St. Augustine

The opposing vice is apathy – not being interested.  Apathy destroys our desires to achieve and grow.

The strength to be firm on one’s direction and purpose. What is your purpose as a human being? Why did God create you?

The answer to the last question is to know, love and serve Him in this world and to be with Him in heaven.  This graphic used on the curriculum binder for the Diocese of La Crosse shows our overall purpose.

Have a great end of Summer and please continue to pray for all who are connected to Assumption Catholic School.

In Christ’s Peace

Daniel Minter
